I've seen situations where companies say they are automating, but in practice all they are doing is slightly enhancing the more traditional ways of doing things. I will draw on my experience of having been a network engineer long before ansible, and in a time when a network engineer might recognise that Perl was not something found in an oyster, but python was definitely a snake!
